Donating to BCC/UMHC for Christmas
The kids and staff at the United Methodist Home for Children (UMHC), a Board of Child Care program, are eagerly looking forward to this special holiday season.
The recent Covid-19 crisis has dramatically changed the way we conduct our daily lives. The youth at BCC’s Mechanicsburg campus still have access to virtual learning and video visits with their therapists and families. Our staff have not missed a beat and remain on the front lines providing care and support around the clock, seven days a week.
Although BCC’s youth are gradually returning to in-person classrooms, they are still spending more time than usual in our residential facilities. As a result, BCC must hire additional staff to work with the children and keep living units, and learning spaces sanitized more frequently.
As you and your family prepare for this holiday season, please remember the extraordinary work that happens at UMHC.
Your gift today helps us continue providing an extensive range of services to meet the unique and often complex behavioral needs of those we serve. Our services improve the well-being of children and youth through therapeutic interventions that are trauma-informed.
To make an online gift, please scroll down this page to the Donation form below. Your generosity ensures a brighter holiday season and support throughout the coming year. Many facets of our program are made entirely possible through community partners and individuals, just like you. Please consider making it your New Year’s resolution to sign up as a monthly donor.
On behalf of our youth and families who benefit from your generous giving, thank you!
Enjoy a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
